One of the most common swing flaws is an “outside-to-in” swing path…
It is a major contributor to the slice and also robs you of power.
There are a number of ways to learn the proper “inside-to-out” motion, and I encourage you to try them all to find the one that “clicks” for you.
In today’s quick video lesson, Tom is going to show you a great drill to ingrain the proper feeling of an “inside-to-out” motion.
Give it a try and let me know how it works for you in the comments below!
Thanks-I needed this. Have always had this problem. Hope the drill helps

Thank you for the drill, I see you are using a driver, should a person practice this drill with an iron as well? It may sound like a dumb question but I am with great thanks to you, relearning my golf swing and the old outside to in swing path is hard to overcome, especially with my irons however with your lessons I am making progress.
Jeff you can definitely try this drill with an iron as well!
Great Golf tip for us seniors that swing out to in of which I am clearly one! Andy
I have had that problem for years. I believe this drill might solve alot of my swing plane problems. Thanks !!
simple and good
THANKS FOR THE TIP! VIDEOS ARE THE BEST WAY TO LEARN!
After purchasing the perfect impact system and practicing my golf game is improving exponentially. Two of my last three rounds I have shot under 85! You have truly helped me understand the swing path and club face relationship and the way to fix whatever miss I may be hitting. Thanks so much !
Much like Joey I also am a Perfect Impact subscriber and am doing much better. I struggled to break 100 consistently and was thinking of quitting the game. After learning from Tom’s videos and tons of work at the range and on the course over the last couple of years…this spring I have an eagle and broke 80 for the first time. Now I need to learn to work the ball and this video will help.
Thanks Tom.
